The filming of our project went well. We came up with ideas on the spot which came to hopefully help the film, for example the egg we added, it is a symbol of life, and is a fragile object, and that is what we want to portray in our film, the fragility of life. im hoping this doesnt get taken as a gimic, or the meaning is not noticed.
we filmed everyday tasks such as, cooking, eating, etc, and we filmed forms of origami, such as a shirt made from a 5 pound note, also with that note, a couple of creases and different angles make the queen go from happy to sad, we want this to portray that money can make you happy or sad, depending on what type of person you are. we used a filmed a time lapse of the sky to show the passing of time.
we never really ahd any technical snags, as we followed the instructions given in the workshops on setting up the camera.
in the editing, this was my task, things ran smoothly, i never encountered any difficulties that i usually get with final cut. it was a time consuming process as ever. i enjoyed super imposing andf time lapsing the imagery the most. i tried playing with the colours of some shots, but i couldnt get them looking as well as i'd hoped, so i think i need to learn to use those effects a little bit better, practice makes perfect.
overall i feel this film has worked really well, i showed it to my flatmates, and they felt they understood the film, and im hoping the group does too.

Experimental Project - Our Idea.
In this project i am working with Zach and Owen. Originally, we were thinking about working with a poem for our idea, but we thought that would be too easy, and we wanted to challenge ourselves.
So we sat down and pondered for a while, and Owen, came up with the idea of portraying a man getting fired from his job, and trying to find a new one through origami.
This idea then proved very time consuming, and we simply did not have the time to do it. So, as we began filming we decided to change our idea, to being close to life showing the every day tasks, and the fragility of life, and how, things can be monotonous in life, and a person picks up scars along the way, and kills themselves knowingly.
Also we decided to keep part of the origami idea in there.

Exerimental Project - Telling Lies
this film has inspired me to make our film, as true to life as possible.
Experimental Project - Koyaanisqatsi
Koyaanisqatsi, personally bored me to death. Although, the compelling idea of capturing the essence of life, inspired me for our idea, it just didnt do it for me.
The film itself, was planned extremely well, and looks as though it was extremely time consuming to make. I think Godfrey Reggio, has a keen eye for some beautiful shots, and they do make the audience look at the world in a different way, the film tends to become a bit tedious after about 30 mins.
